Dear members of the Fayetteville NC Stake,

We love you and are thankful for each of you.

Navigating the ups and downs of the COVID-19 pandemic has been an interesting journey for all of us. Our hope is that we have learned for ourselves what matters most as we let God prevail in our lives.

As a stake presidency, we have done our very best to follow the examples and guidance of our living prophets and apostles. Our Area Presidency and Area Authority have also been instrumental and very supportive. Making the decision to follow and sustain our church leaders has allowed us to move forward in faith without fear.

We would like to announce that wearing a mask is not required while attending church services and activities. It is important to note that health officials still encourage those that have not yet been vaccinated to wear masks. The decision to wear a mask is a personal choice and we invite you to decide what is most comfortable for you.

There is one exception. We will continue with pandemic safety protocols while administering the Sacrament. We ask that those that are preparing and passing the Sacrament wear masks during the ordinance. Once complete, the masks may be removed. Having the bread in individual Sacrament cups should be the normal protocol for now. Gloves will not be necessary.

If you are not feeling well when church activities and services are scheduled, we encourage you to stay home. We also encourage our members to maintain social distancing protocols the best they can when meeting in large numbers and that sound cleaning protocols are in place after each church activity or 2-hour church service.

The Lord has invited us to love one another as He loves us (John 15:12). We know that this is the best approach we can take as we continue to build unity within our stake.

May the Lord bless each of us as we follow Him and let God prevail in our lives.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey W. Quick
