The Gillis Hill Ward and the Hope Mills 2nd Ward congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints merged today under the direction of President Jeffrey Quick, who serves as the Stake President.

All members from both congregations who served in church positions were released prior to the merge, and the following were called as the Bishopric of the Gillis Hill Ward (the Hope Mills 2nd Ward is now officially disbanded).

Brother Bryan Tappen remained the Ward Clerk for the newly-merged ward for continuity.

The Bishopric will have several weeks to call members to serve in positions for the new ward.

The Gillis Hill Ward will continue to meet Sunday at 9am in the Gillis Hill building:

9701 Cliffdale Road

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina 28304

United States

Wards and Stakes will occasionally split when an area sees growth in membership. Units may combine under various circumstances depending on the needs of the local membership and the inspiration given to local leadership, typically to the Stake President.
