This February, it is anticipated that thousands of people from all over the world will attend RootsTech!


RootsTech, sponsored by FamilySearch, is the world’s largest family history conference with participants from all over the world. In the past, participants traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, or London, England, to attend RootsTech.

For the first time, RootsTech will be completely virtual! Anyone can attend the three-day online event on February 25-27, 2021, from the comfort of their own home. Usually, there is a cost to attend RootsTech, but this year, the entire event is free!

Why should you attend RootsTech? Because it’s fun! Join with others who are looking to discover, gather, and connect with their family. No matter your level of proficiency with family history, there is something for you! Individuals and families will enjoy a variety of interactive classes, presentations, entertainment, and a virtual marketplace.

The Keynote Speakers for RootsTech 2021 are Lorena Ochoa, athlete, mother, and entrepreneur; Francesco Lotoro, pianist, composer, and conductor; Sharon Morgan, writer and genealogist, founder of Our Black Ancestry; and Nick Vujicic, international motivational speaker and New York Times best-selling author.
