Fayetteville, NC — 11/12/2020 — In Fayetteville today, Jeff Quick, President of The Fayetteville North Carolina Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, toured the facilities of the Fayetteville Urban Ministry at 701 Whitfield Street and learned much about the organization's programs, events, and charitable giving. "Ninety-three cents of every dollar given goes directly back into our four programs," said Sadie Crabb, who serves as their Compliance and Outreach Specialist.

In addition to learning about how the Fayetteville Urban Ministry serves our local community, President Quick was pleased to offer a $4000 donation from the Church. Johnny Wilson, Fayetteville Urban Ministry's Executive Director, was shocked and couldn't stop saying, "He got me good! Telling me it 'wasn't much'!" This donation is just the beginning of what the Church plans to do as a partner in the coming months and years to come.
There are many needs that local Church members can fulfill in the convenience of their homes, such as preparing care packages. Other requirements can be fulfilled as Church members donate time and skills in volunteering. The Church and its members are always looking for ways to serve others, especially throughout these upcoming holidays. Helping others is at the very core of the Church's doctrine.
