Good Friends,

April is a special time of year for those in Christendom. This is the season when we celebrate the Holy Week: Jesus Christ's atonement, death, and resurrection. It is only through His atonement that we can be saved from our sins. Jesus Christ offers us peace through the forgiveness of our sins. He gave His life, His whole life, so that justice can be met and mercy extended to those who earnestly seek His will. It is the path for us to receive “immortality and eternal life” (Moses 1:39). Since we all kept our first estate, we will receive immortality as a resurrected being through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. On the other hand, eternal life requires that we accept, show obedience to, and take upon us all the ordinances and covenants of the Gospel. It is through our righteousness and His loving atonement that we can return to our Heavenly Father and dwell with Him forever. Although we celebrate Easter in April, we consider, apply and expect the blessings found from it the whole year over.

I invite you to use your social media account to write a short #StartingToday post. The more we share our testimonies of Jesus Christ and how His gospel has and will continue to change our lives, the more peace, love, and empathy will be flowing in the world.

April is also a wonderful time of year because of General Conference, which occurs on April 3rd and 4th this year. I testify if you prepare yourself in faith, fasting, and praying, you will find answers to personal questions. It is a time to listen closely to the Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, Apostles, and other general authorities that will teach, inspire and uplift. God truly calls them. The same God that said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

With Peace,
